Pine-Richland Crew Highlights
2009- 2010 Season

Pine-Richland Crew qualified two boats to compete in the Scholastic Nationals Rowing Championship, sponsored by the Scholastic Rowing Association of America. The Men’s Junior Double finished seventh overall. Jake Anna and Isaac Egyed, both juniors at Pine-Richland High School, participated in this event. The Women’s Varsity Quad made it to the semi-final round, eventually finishing ninth overall. Pine-Richland students Maureen Hilton, a senior, and Shelbi Duncan, Allie Marshall, and Kimberly Novak, all sophomores, rowed in the competition. This is the second time that Pine-Richland Crew has qualified to compete in the Scholastic Nationals since Florin Curuea took over as head coach in 2007.

Boys Novice 4+ Places 3rd at Pull the Plug Regatta - The Boys Novice 4+ placed 3rd at Pull the Plug Regatta in Rochester, NY on November 1, 2009.

Maureen Hilton of PR Crew Captures Silver at Speakmon Regatta - Congratulations to Maureen Hilton who medaled at the Speakmon Memorial Regatta, one of the largest high school regattas, on September 24, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio.

2008-2009 Season

PR Crew Places Nationally - PRHS Women's Jr 4+ boat placed 10th and the Women's Jr 2x placed 12th at Nationals in Oakridge, TN May 23-24, 2008. Twenty-three teams from six regions competed. Rowers included: Stephanie Zang, Kaitlyn Jeffrey, Ashley Wright, Maureen Hilton, Liz Young, Rachel Hilton, and Lora DeVenzio.

PR Crew Captures Medals at HOTO - PR Crew medaled in four events at the Head of the Ohio on Sept 27, 2008 in Pittsburgh, PA.
